Tuition will increase three percent a year at Erie Community College.
The ECC Board of Directors voted Thursday morning to increase tuition $167 a year to $4,900.
The college said the hike was necessary to close a $3.7 million dollar budget gap. It received no increase in funding from Erie County or New York state, an ECC spokesperson said.
The tuition increase takes effect for the fall 2017 semester.
