A truck driver with an extensive criminal record was arrested Thursday in the town of Castile for carrying a stun gun.
Michael C. Harris, a resident of New Jersey, was pulled over by a Wyoming County Sheriff's deputy for speeding.
The driver was taken into custody and charged with third and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. Because of Harris' criminal past, the charge was elevated to a felony and his tractor trailer was towed.
It is illegal in the state of New York to have a stun gun.
Harris is currently being held at the Wyoming County Jail without bail.
