Troopers investigate deadly Southern Tier house fire

New York State Police are investigating a fire that turned deadly Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers responded to Cooper Hill Road in the Town of Humphrey at 2:45 p.m. for a residential fire.

A body was recovered from the residence during the investigation. The body is being examined by the Erie County Medical Examiner's Office for a cause of death and identity.

Troopers do not deem the fire suspicious.
