A New York State Police trooper saved a baby from choking along the side of the road in Machias.
According to state police,Trooper Aaron Kawado was on Route 16 Wednesday night when the Kawado noticed a vehicle suddenly pull onto the side of the road.
Kawado also pulled over and was met by a man carrying a one year-old baby and yelling the baby was choking and needed help.
The trooper took the baby and performed back blows, which dislodged the object from the baby's throat.
