Amherst Police tell 7 Eyewitness News a tree service contractor fell to his death while on a job earlier Saturday morning.
The incident happened shortly after 10 a.m. on Hopkins Road in North Amherst. Christopher Gordan, 39, of Niagara Falls was contracted to do a tree service job when he fell 35 feet to the ground.
Police say Gordan was in the tree, cutting a large limb, when a second limb became dislodged and knocked Gordan out of the tree.
Gordan was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
