The Niagara County Sheriff's Office and the Niagara County Office of Emergency Management have issued a travel advisory for all of Niagara County effective immediately until Sunday afternoon.

Erie County has also issued a travel advisory, beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday evening.

With the impending ice storm, there is the potential for downed power lines and tree limbs, ice-covered roads and localized flooding. Areas along the Lake Ontario shore could also see shore damage, with the potential for 12-15 foot waves.

Niagara County Officials urge residents to exercise caution if they travel and prepare for potential power outages.

The Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor the situation.
