A tractor trailer was torn apart Saturday evening after being hit by a train.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports Jason Siepierski, 30, was heading south on his tractor trailer  on Werle Road which has signs for no tractor trailers.

Deputies say Siepierski's trailer got stuck on the shoulder of the road and was on the railroad tracks as a Norfolk Southern train was headed west on the tracks.

The train hit the trailer, tearing it apart and dragging it down the tracks, according to officials.

Reports say Siepierski was able to get out of the tractor before it was hit.

Siepierski was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

According to officials, Siepierski was given a ticket for disobeying traffic control and will appear in the Town of Sheridan Court.
