The Erie County Sheriff's Office is warning fans driving to New Era Field Thursday to be aware of school bus traffic.

The Sheriff's Office says it is taking a "Zero Tolerance" approach to drivers who ignore stopped school buses as they head to the stadium.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard states, "Every school day motorists need to be aware of school buses on the roadway but the presence of school buses near the stadium on game day is an uncommon sight.  This will, in no way, excuse any motorist from charges if they pass a stopped bus.  I have zero tolerance for anyone who passes a stopped school bus and Thursday afternoon will be no exception."

Stadium traffic is expected to increase during the same time schools buses are running after school routes.

To accommodate the buses, deputies will delay the closure of Abbott Road in front of the stadium to about 3:25 p.m.. Once the road is closed, drivers will still be able to access stadium and private lots along short stretches of Abbott Road.
