The Toronto Blue Jays announced that the top prospect in baseball, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., is scheduled to be promoted to the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday, July 31.

Guerrero, who is just 19-years-old, is the number one prospect in Minor League Baseball according to both Baseball America and MLB.com.

This season, in 61 games with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League, despite being the youngest player in all of Double-A, Guerrero has hit for a .402 average with 19 doubles, 14 home runs, and 60 RBI.

According to the Bisons, if Guerrero had 10 more plate appearances, his average would qualify to be 45 points higher than any hitter in Minor League Baseball and his .671 slugging percentage would top all minor league hitters by 54 points.

The Bisons will play a five-game in four-day series against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs beginning Monday at Coca-Cola Field.

For Tuesday's game against Lehigh Valley, Guerrero's scheduled first game as a Bison, gates will open at a special time of 4 p.m. to allow fans with tickets to the game to also watch batting practice (weather dependent, subject to change).
