Tonawanda Police thank local boy for help in annual toy drive for families in need

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) - As many people around Western New York get in the spirit of giving this holiday season, one boy from Tonawanda is now getting some special recognition from police for doing just that.

His name is Tyler Lenco.

And the Town of Tonawanda Police Department says he came in back on November 17 to help in a special way with the department's annual Holiday Toy Drive.

Tyler decorated its collection bin with lights, tinsel and even wrapping paper!

The department posted the above picture to its Facebook page, thanking Tyler for his help, writing, "Nice job, Tyler!!!"

Tonawanda Police would like to remind you that you can help them put smiles on kids' faces all over the Ken-Ton area by donating new, unwrapped toys at the department located at 1835 Sheridan Drive.

The Holiday Toy Drive runs through December 18.
