Tonawanda man caught breaking into cars on Grand Island

A 20 year-old from Tonawanda was arrested for multiple car larcenies in November.

Michael Rodriguez was arrested on November 22nd after reports of a larceny on East River Road in Grand Island.

Erie County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene around 5:30 in the morning. They searched the East River Road and Broadway area where they found a suspect matching the description provided by the caller. The victim later positively identified Rodriguez. 

Deputies also followed Rodriguez's tracks to other addresses where other vehicles were broken into and items were stolen. He's also charged in connection with a car larceny at a Waterford Park residence on November 3rd.

Rodriguez is charged with three counts of petit larceny and three counts of trespassing. He was released after his November 23rd arraignment.
