Volunteer firefighters in Tonawanda fought a fire on Roswell Avenue near Vulcan and Niagara Streets Monday morning.
A police dispatcher said that firefighters were dispatched to 21 Roswell Avenue just after 6 a.m.
Firefighters had to evacuate the building at one point because of low water pressure, but were able to regain the needed pressure and put the fire out about 45 minutes later.
Police say the home's residents made it out of the building safe. At least two adults and one dog will need assistance from the Red Cross.
Traffic on River Road/Niagara Street was impacted during the morning commute.
