New E-Z Pass customers will receive a $10 dollar discount, according to the Thruway Authority.
Motorists who purchase an E-Z Pass On-The-Go tag and register it from February 1 through February 26 will be eligible to receive the credit to their account.
The driver will have to take 10 trips on the NYS Thruway within six months to earn the credit.
According to the Thruway Authority, sales of On-The-Go tags jumped 22 percent in 2017 from 2016, setting a new record of 131,175 tags sold. Sales of On-The-Go tags have more than doubled since 2012.
Drivers who purchase an E-Z Pass can register the tag online or by calling 1-800-697-1554.
