A Wyoming County woman is dead after crashing into a John Deere 7720 Combine Thursday night in the Town of Bennington
Around 6:45 p.m., State Police say 66-year-old Cheryl Krull of Varysburg was traveling west on Rt. 354 when she crashed into the combine, also traveling west. Her 2013 Chevy Equinox then moved into the eastbound lane, where it was hit on the driver’s side by a pickup truck.
Krull was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, 43-year-old Jason Dressel of Attica, was flown to ECMC by Mercy Flight where he is in critical condition in the ICU. His 11-year-old son was taken to Women and Children’s Hospital for observation. The driver of the combine was uninjured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
