Niagara Falls Police Department Crash Management Team responded to an accident turned fatal Sunday evening.
Police responded to the 6200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard around 7 p.m. to investigate the three vehicle accident.
Police say a a 2003 Chevy Tracker was driving east on Niagara Falls Boulevard when it crossed the median into the westbound lane. The car hit a 2014 Chevy Cruze driving in the left lane, causing it to hit a 2005 PT Cruiser driving behind it in the right lane.
Officials say the 53-year-old driver, Victor Fetter, of the Chevy Tracker was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he died from his head and internal injuries.
According to oficers, the driver of the Chevy Cruze, a 29-year-old man from Lewiston, was taken to ECMC, where he is being treated for a fractured pelvis, leg injuries and possible broken ribs.
The 50-year-old Youngstown man driving the PT Cruiser complained about ankle pain but did not ask for immediate treatment, according to police.
Part of Niagara Falls Boulevard was closed for four hours for the scene to be cleared. The investigation is ongoing.
