Mahalia Guest, 22 of Buffalo, was sentenced to 17 1/2 years in prison and 5 years of post-release supervision following his guilty plea in connection with the death of 58-year old Rafael Martinez of Buffalo
Guest, along with Juakeen Glenn and Kenneth Smith, all pled guilty to Manslaughter in the 1st Degree in connection with the death of 58 year old Rafael Martinez of Buffalo on November 11, 2014.
Mr. Martinez was fatally beaten and stabbed in an apartment on Grant Street in Buffalo where Smith and Guest lived.
After they killed the victim, the defendants placed him in a garbage tote and dumped his body in an alley across the street.
Glenn and Smith were sentenced to 23 years in prison for the crime.
