Think twice before adding salt

Posted

If you go out to eat a few times a week, chances are, you're eating more salt than you think.

A new study published in the journal Appetite found nearly 90% of Americans eat too much salt.  Researchers found that the average intake for those who frequent fast food restaurants was 1300 milligrams for just one meal.

You should have no more than 2300 milligrams a day, which equals about one teaspoon.
