BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — 'Tis the season to make holiday gift returns.

The National Retail Federation estimates about 10% of all gifts will go right back on the shelves, but things won't be the same this year because of the pandemic.

Some retailers will provide return labels to customers, so gifts can be sent back through FedEx and UPS, even if you bought the gift at the store.

Others are offering curbside return parking spots in order to make a return without coming into contact with anyone.

Retail sales rose 2.4% between November 1 and Christmas Eve.

That's compared to the same period last year.

Online sales grew just over 47% during that time.
