The Tinman, a notorious figure from the Wizard of Oz after a heart, ended up with a DWI instead.
New York State Police say a Cortland man dressed up as the Tinman was arrested after someone reported an intoxicated man on private property.
Troopers say Nicholas Sherman, 31, drove with another man to the residence of the person who reported Sherman. The homeowner asked the pair to leave.
Sherman told troopers that he had just a business in the Village of Chittenango where he was hired to portray the Tinman from The Wizard of Oz.
Sherman was arrested for DWI on Sunday and submitted a breath test of .19% BAC.
