JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) - Brendan Halbohm knows how to make a good candle.
He's the owner of MADE Candles out of Jamestown.
His natural soy-blend candles burn clean, and use essential oils for all different types of scents.
"Who doesn't like a good candle," he says. "A lot of people buy candles from companies and say it's not good for their breathing. I want to produce a good quality candle that's good for your family and smells good."
Among the popular flavors are Halbohm's candles using scents from local breweries.
He's sold thousands of candles all over the world, but if you ask him what his goal is-- it's to build up other makers and sustain the local economy.
"Every business started out small and as a community, when you know a maker or you know someone who creates a product in your community, it feeds back into your local economy."
