Calling all computer scientists, coders, tech students, and other software savvy Western New Yorkers!

Your skills could help you win $5,000.

The City of Buffalo, along with AT&T, launched a Civic Innovation Challenge on Thursday. They want you to take information from the city's brand new open data portal and develop an app that makes life easier for people like you or even help city operations run better.

You have until April 22nd to submit your app ideas. The grand prize winner gets $5,000, second place takes $2,000, and third receives $1,000.
