We are getting ready to 'Rock out Hunger.' 97 Rock and WKBW is teaming up with the Food Bank of WNY to help families in need.

One Niagara Falls woman directly benefits from the Food Bank of WNY.

Jennifer Hardy is a mother to five young boys. She says she grateful for all the help her family has received from the Heart, Love, & Soul food pantry for the last six years.

She's one of 700 who benefits from this pantry every month. Heart, Love, & Soul is one of 341 local organizations in the area powered by the Food Bank of WNY.

"If there's time when our fridge feeling a little on the light side and there is not much to eat we know that for breakfast or lunch... we can come into here," Hardy said.

With the holidays right around the corner, "it means knowing that at Christmas we will have a little extra help," she said.

Hardy doesn't just benefit from the pantry she also gives back by volunteering.

The WNY Food Bank is in need of 5,200 turkeys.

If you are looking to donate, you can drop off frozen turkeys, nonperishable food and cash donations from November 15th until November 22nd at the Eastern Hills Mall parking lot, 4545 Transit Road in Williamsville, NY.
