When it stops raining for months, that’s what most people think of when you say the word ‘drought.’

Drought has a different meaning in Orchard Park.

This drought hasn't lasted for months, but years. The Buffalo Bills were officially eliminated from playoff contention on Sunday, this is now the 17th season in a row the Bills won’t be playing extra football.

“It just means tears. It means 17 long years of tears,” said Matt Kanaley.

“It's pretty disappointing. I'm not even 17 years old so I've never seen them in the playoffs,” said Max Bowden, a 15-year-old from Cambria.

Fans don’t have control about what will happen to the Bills. They do have control over one thing, their faith that things will one day, turn around. “Stay true to the team and eventually good things will happen,” said Jim Starkey.
