Monday's telethon on WKBW raised nearly $70,000
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - The Western New York community once again showed its spirit of generosity on Monday.
During a four hour telethon on 7ABC, in partnership with M&T Bank and Western New York Latino leadership, $69,338 was raised for Puerto Rico's hurricane relief effort.
A month after Hurricane Maria devastated the island, roughly three million residents are still without power. More than a third of households are without reliable drinking water.
