A Clarence teen will spend five years in prison for attempted murder.

In March 2017, 18-year-old Zachary Ariox and two other defendants lured a victim to a construction site off of Gentwood Drive in the Town of Clarence and attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The man attempted to run away, and Aroix shot him in the leg with a .22 rifle.

18-year-old Zachery Aroix pleaded guilty to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree last month. In addition to jail time, his sentence carries two-and-a-half years of post-release supervision.
