A Cattaraugus County teenager has now been charged with manslaughter in connection with a deadly crash.
Investigators say 19-year-old Cyrus Spruce was speeding in a 2002 Dodge Caravan on Route 17 in the Town of Redhouse when he hit two parked cars as well as a pedestrian standing on the side of the road.
Police say Spruce fled the scene.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old Watson Cooper of Salamanca, was rushed to ECMC where he died from his injuries.
Spruce is being held without bail.
