The Genesee County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 16-year-old Niagara Falls teen following an incident at Darien Lake Theme Park on Independence Day.
The sheriff's office reports Veronica L. Tangle was initially approached in an investigation into a counterfeiting complaint. When Tangle was questioned on suspicion of passing counterfeit bills, they say Tangle attempted to hit an officer in the head.
Tangle is charged with possession of a forged instrument, attempted assault of a police officer, obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest.
Tangle was arraigned in Darien Town Court and taken to Genesee County Jail.
