Ted's could sell 50k hotdogs for customer appreciation day

Posted

Ted's Hot Dogs has been around since 1927, and in honor of their 91 years of business, hot dogs were discounted from $2.99 to .91¢ a hot dog.

The company says that the main focus of the promotion is to thank customers for their service.

Lines were out the door at the Teds' oldest restaurant on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda. Ted's said they anticipate almost 50,000 hot dogs to be sold during the day, 5,000 more than 2017.

"We have to gear up for this." Son of Ted's founder Peter Liaros said, "This is a day that is overwhelming for the organization."

There was no limit to the amount of hot dogs a customer could buy.

The discount went from 10am to 10pm.
