Most people call them a nuisance, but seagulls are actually a protected species of bird.
A 7 Eyewitness News camera was rolling on Monday as one seagull had a close encounter with a taxi.
The bird became lodged in the grill of the taxi cab near Erie County Medical Center.
The cab driver attempted to free the bird and was successful.
Seconds after the video was shot, the seagull flew away.
