Despite having the correct address, nearly 100 tax bills mailed out has returned to Town of Tonawanda clerk as undeliverable.
According to Clerk Marguerite Greco, 17,000 tax bills were mailed out on January 11th. It's not usual for a couple to return, when a property owner has died or moved.
The town is working with the U.S. Postal Service to see what exactly happened.
Property owners who has not received a tax bill can visit www.tonawanda.ny.usor call the Clerk's Office at 877-8800
Tax bills are due by February 15th.
