The country's largest two-day food festival will start taking over downtown Buffalo on Friday.

Road closures around Niagara Square and Delaware Ave. begin at noon and last through the festival, which ends Sunday night.

The 33rd annual Taste of Buffalo will host a record number of eateries this year, with more than 62 restaurants and food trucks making an appearance.

The festival begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday and goes until 9 p.m. On Sunday, you can visit between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The event will feature food for purchase, live music, kids activities, food demonstrations and the nation's first kale-eating competition.

Professional competitive eaters from across the world will battle to see who can eat the most raw kale.
