Don't blame the messenger: an umbrella will likely come in handy when you're out and about this weekend in Western New York.

Clouds will increase this afternoon with showers across the Southern Tier. These showers will push northward toward Buffalo later today. Temperatures will be seasonable with highs in the mid 70s.

TONIGHT: Cloudy skies with rain showers likely across all of Western New York

SATURDAY: A slow moving area of low pressure will make its way toward WNY. Bands of rain will wrap around this low and move through the area at times. It will not be an all-day washout, but be prepared for showers off and on during the day. There is a slight chance for an isolated thundershower but nothing severe is expected. Temperatures will be below normal with highs in the low 70s.

SUNDAY: Cloud with showers and isolated thundershowers continue. Temperatures will be below normal with highs reaching only near 70.

If you're looking for some good news, you'll find it in the extended forecast.  7 First Alert Chief Meteorologist Aaron Mentkowski says the long-term forecast calls for temperatures to be well above normal for the end of the month through July 4th!
