A 16-year-old driver is in trouble after police say his reckless driving injured three students.

The incident happened Friday afternoon in the parking lot of Tonawanda City High School.

Police say the driver, identified as Cameron J. Shields, was trying to "cut-off" another vehicle when he slammed into a pole.

Shields wasn't injured but officers say he was issued a summons by City of Tonawanda Police for reckless driving.

Three students, who were in the car at the time, were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
