The Ken-Ton School District sending out a warning from police about a stranger danger incident.
Police say a suspicious incident that occurred yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, Oct. 11) in the residential neighborhood 2-3 blocks east of of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute along Wilton Parkway between Truesdale Road and Pickford Avenue.
An 11-year-old student reported that, after getting off the school bus at approximately 3:35 p.m., a driver in a blue minivan passed 3-4 times. The driver was described as a middle-aged white male with short light-colored hair and a beard. The driver did not speak to the child but appeared to have been staring at him. The Town of Tonawanda Police Department is investigating and will be performing additional checks of the area.
All parents and guardians are asked to remind their children to never accept a ride or any other offer from a stranger and to report any such activity to Town of Tonawanda Police immediately by calling 911 or 876-5300.
