LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A new poll from Siena College found that 87 percent of New Yorkers approve of the way Gov. Andrew Cuomo has handled the coronavirus pandemic.

By contrast, only 41 percent of New Yorkers approve of the way President Donald Trump has handled the pandemic.

The poll also found that nearly all (92 percent) of New Yorkers are concerned about coronavirus, with more than three-quarters (79 percent) of people from the Empire State fearing that they'll test positive for COVID-19.

However, the majority of New Yorkers believe things will "return to normal sometime soon" by a ratio of 53 percent to 44 percent.

In addition, one-quarter of respondents say someone in their family has been laid off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
