New York State Assemblyman William Nojay, who represented the 133rd district in the Rochester area, has taken his own life.
13-WHAM in Rochester reports Nojay committed suicide at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester. He was 59 years-old.
Nojay was elected to the assembly in November 2012 and represented Livingston County and parts of Monroe and Steuben Counties. He was running for re-election and his name will appear on the ballot in Tuesday's Republican primary.
Nojay was one of four defendants facing charges in a fraud case in Cambodia.
