New York state has created a toll-free hotline to report incidents of bias and discrimination across the state.

Governor Andrew Cuomo made the announcement on Tuesday.

The hotline will allow state residents to file a complaint with the Division of Human Rights if they have experienced any form of discrimination.

The creation of the hotline comes after investigations into two separate alleged hate crimes in the state, including one in Wellsville.

New Yorkers who have experienced bias or discrimination can call the hotline at (888) 392-3644 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
