A proposed tax credit bill could help give money back to Buffalo homeowners.

State Assemblyman Sean Ryan is proposing a bill that would be used to help maintain and restore historic homes in the Queen City. According to Ryan, current laws deny historic homeowners access to funds that would help restore homes.

Ryan also adds that over 1000 buildings are currently disqualified from gaining access to state historic tax credit.

The state Assemblyman says cities with less than a million residents would benefit with access to the New York State Historic Tax Credit.
