A juvenile male was charged with one count of falsely reporting an incident in the third degree.

On February 21st, Starpoint School staff notified Sheriff's Deputy Craig Beiter about a "potential threatening situation brought to their attention by a student."

According to Deputy Beiter, the student overheard another student claim he would be the next Nikolas Cruz "but instead of killing 17, he would kill 19."

After a week long investigation with the Niagara County District Attorney's Office, the male student was charged with falsely reporting an incident.

He is scheduled to appear at the Niagara County Probation Office in Lockport for further proceedings.

Nikolas Cruz is the student responsible for the Valentine's Day mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. He killed 17 students.
