The Erie County Sheriff's Office closed down a portion of Goodrich Road near Greiner Road in Clarence Sunday to talk to a despondent man.
A spokesperson said the man was holed up in his home alone and stressed that it was not a standoff.
Authorities tweeted out the incident late Sunday night saying:

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz tweeted later saying the situation was resolved.
It has been reported to me the situation in Clarence has been safely resolved. Great job by @ECSONY1 to peaceably resolve the matter.

Deputies say they were able to convince the man to leave his home, bringing about a peaceful resolution.
He is not facing any charges.
