Up and down hills, through rough terrain, bushes and mud, the son of Rudy Ray Rockett Sr. won't stop until he finds his father.

"I just want to put my dad to rest and take him back home."

Rockett Sr. has been missing for 11 days, after he didn't show up for a flight out of Buffalo.

The search for him ramped up when Rockett Jr. says when a bloody ring and cryptic note were found in stepson Gregory Roy's bedroom at Rockett's cottage in Ransomville. Police also found a substantial amount of blood in the vehicle Roy was supposed to use to take his stepfather to the airport.

'I'm hoping for the best. We're not here to do anything but try to find my dad," said Rudy Ray Rockett Jr.

Rockett Jr. says his father's cell phone last pinged near Springville in Zoar Valley, where he is now taking the search into his own hands.

"There are a lot of areas and trails where you could move something. My dad was a big guy. Someone couldn't have carried him very far."

He's worried the investigation has gone cold. Law Enforcement was out searching last week, but turned up nothing. Roy is in custody in Niagara County on a weapons charge, and police say there is no danger to the public.

But Rockett Jr. can't help but feel he's living in a horror movie.
