A Rochester man has admitted to beating his mother to death in Buffalo.
According to the Erie County District Attorney's Office, 42-year-old Froilan Torres has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the beating death of his mother, 57-year-old Gloria Rivera.
Prosecutors say Torres struck Rivera over the head with a vase inside her South Park home in October 2016.
Rivera was taken to Mercy Hospital where she died.
Torres faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
