The question has been posed to Buffalo and NCAA Tournament officials: Would this week's snow storm, that crippled travel in the Northeast, bring down attendance?
According to Visit Buffalo Niagara, the NCAA Tournament is expected to bring in $8 million to western New York over the weekend. That estimation was done prior to the storm. They say they are working to see if that number will change.
Key Bank Center officials doubt there will be fewer fans, come tip-off.
“You got to understand these are rabid college basketball fans. Wisconsin, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Villanova last year's national champion, they're not going to let a little snow stop them,” said Michael Gilbert.
