SILVER ALERT: Man with dementia missing from Oakwood Senior Living

Town of Tonawanda Police need help finding an elderly man who is missing from Oakwood Senior Living.

Police say Leroy Jackson, 83, was last seen by staff around 6:20 a.m. on Sunday.

Jackson is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 151 pounds with a slim build. He has salt and pepper hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue wind breaker jacket.

Staff says Jackson has dementia, but is otherwise healthy.

His last address before living at Oakwood was on Harriet Avenue in Buffalo.

According to officials, he has walked out twice before and was found at a Tim Hortons at Sheridan and Delaware and another time he was walking on Elmwood Avenue near Forest Avenue.

Update: Leroy Jackson has been found and the silver alert has been canceled.
