Silver alert canceled for missing 90-year-old man

Cheektowaga Police have located missing Alex Iwaszczenko.  The missing 90-year-old man was found in Buffalo, early Wednesday morning.  Police feared he was suffering from Alzheimer's disease, dementia or a related cognitive disorder.

According to police, Iwaszczenko was on his way to get blood work done on Harlem Road, but he never made it to his appointment or back to his Croydon Drive home.

He was driving a green 1998 Mercury Marquis.

The man was found by 7-Eleven store attendants on Niagara Street in Buffalo.  They say he was confused and disoriented.  

While the man is back home, his condition is unknown.
