Social diversity was on display on Buffalo's east side this weekend.
The Muslim Society of Buffalo hosted an open house event at a mosque on Genesee Street as part of a White House backed 'common grounds' initiative.
It featured works of art created by members of the local Muslim community.
The idea is to invite people of all faiths to take a closer look at what Muslim Americans are doing in their neighborhoods, and to break some of the stereotypes that often lead to misunderstanding.
