Shots fired at McDonald's after robbery attempt

Buffalo Police say two men were standing in line at the Mcdonald's on Grider Street Saturday afternoon when one of the men tried to rob the other.

A struggle followed with the suspect pulling a gun and shooting the victim. Police say the suspect also shot himself in the hand.

Employees and customers managed to subdue the suspect until police arrived on the scene.

Both men were taken to ECMC and are expected to survive. The suspect is under police guard in the hospital.

Police have not released their names.
