Buffalo man shot near School 89 has died, police say

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - The 34-year-old male shot near School 89 has died, according to Buffalo Police.

A shooting outside School 89, located at Delevan and Grider, placed the building on a "shelter in place" alert yesterday.

According to Buffalo Police, just before 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, a man in his mid-30s was hit by gunfire in the 100 block of Grider Street.

He was taken to ECMC after suffering serious injuries.

Police determined there was no safety risk and the "shelter in place" was lifted.
