For years, the falcon-cam, perched high atop the Statler in Buffalo, has captured the attention of millions of nature lovers.
But, early Monday morning, the peace was interrupted when an intruder falcon entered the nest and fought with the female.
The injured female then flew away and she hasn't been seen since.
The resident male falcon is now watching over the nest and the egg.
The D.E.C. is still searching for the injured bird.
