The man suspected of burying an 18-year-old mother in Wayne County is due in court Tuesday as the search for her missing 14-month-old son continues.
Wayne County Sheriff's deputies, along with hundreds of others in Sodus combed a 350-acre farm Monday, searching for little Owen Hidalgo-Calderon. Sheriff Barry Virts says it would be very difficult for a child so young to sustain himself for so long. Owen has been missing since May 16.
Deputies arrested Alberto Reyes on Wednesday on evidence-tampering charges. He admitted to burying, but not killing, his girlfriend and Owen's mother, Selena Hidalgo-Calderon. Officials found her body on the farm where she and Reyes worked.
